San Diego PC values your trust, and has been a completely referral-based business from the very beginning. . Here are some of the ways I have stayed ahead of the competition over the years:
While diplomas and certificates may mean almost everything to the young person just getting into this business, my tactic has been completely different. Since 1994, I have been going through a constant training cycle, both online and offline. Numerous online courses have kept me qualified to perform repair on networks, laptops, desktops, and websites. Yes, I was the first in San Diego to offer 'Website Repair' as an option for my business customers! In addition quite a few courses at Grossmont College, which is close by, have filled in the gaps.
San Diego PC has licensed with Dell Computer, INC as a reseller. Here again, this is simply for my clients' benefit as I don't make money selling pre-built computers. I would much rather build you a high-end desktop computer than have you buy one elsewhere! There have been times however that it has been handy for me to be able to recommend a Dell instead of one of my custom builds.
I have been approached over the years to become a reseller of numerous products, most of which I decline. Because my business is strictly referral-based, I can take no chances with providing a product or service that is related to a company that could be 'here today, gone tomorrow.'
There are plenty of people in my line of work in Southern California, Let's Face It! There are however key strategic differences between my business and that of other million out there. I speak English, not Geek which makes a big difference. My specialty is the ability to relate to you on a one-on-one basis and answer any questions you may have. I answer them in a way you can understand what I am trying to say!
I encourage my clients to email or call me with any issues, complaints, or questions. I WANT MY PHONE TO RING! My company will not be gone tomorrow, I'm here for the long haul. This is stark contrast to those who want to charge every nickel they can - one time - and never worry about seeing you again. My philosophy is just the opposite: I want you to call me next time too!
